Issue 1: Inability to operate continuously
If the vibratory bowl feeder fails to run for an extended period, the problem may lie with the controller. It is advisable to keep a spare controller on hand for immediate replacement when such issues occur.

Issue 2: Decreased feeding speed
A drop in feeding speed can be caused by factors such as spring cracks, rust, or welding cracks. Typically, spring cracks are extremely small and invisible to the naked eye. To inspect the spring: remove it from the feeder and strike it firmly against a concrete floor. If the spring breaks, it is defective and needs replacement.
For rust-prone components: inspect these parts thoroughly, remove any rust, and apply rust-inhibiting lubricant. To fundamentally prevent rust, using stainless steel for the vibratory bowl feeder is an effective solution.
For welding cracks: carefully check the feeder’s welded joints, especially around the discharge port. If cracks are found, re-welding is required.

We collaborated with a German oral liquid manufacturer that approached us to design a custom vibratory bowl feeder for conveying oral liquid glass bottles.

Given that glass bottles are fragile, our engineers installed rubber cushions at key positions of the vibratory bowl feeder to minimize collisions between bottles. Additionally, the feeder’s frequency and amplitude were adjusted based on the specific size and weight of the glass bottles, preventing excessive amplitude that could lead to bottle breakage. During subsequent operation, it is crucial to regularly inspect the feeder’s components, clean dust from the bowl and track, and maintain overall equipment cleanliness to ensure stable performance.

Sensors and cameras were integrated into the vibratory bowl feeder, enabling staff to promptly detect abnormalities during the conveying process. In most cases, normal operation can be restored with simple debugging.
